Roey's story
Not just survive – choose to live.
From the dramatic morning of October 7th, through the minutes when it seemed
He would never breathe again – until the international journey in which he shared his story.
With the world: Roy Mor, commander of the 890th Paratroopers Battalion,
He went out to fight for his life – and not just on the battlefield.
On October 8, during fierce fighting and a daring attempt to rescue civilians from Kibbutz Be'eri under heavy fire, Roy was critically wounded. He was unconscious, sedated, and on a ventilator for five days.
When he woke up – connected to tubes, confined to a wheelchair – he realized that a new battle lay ahead of him: a battle for his future, for his identity, for his right to dream again.
From a deep fracture emerged a choice –
To turn pain into a mission, injury into a path of growth, impact, and meaning.
The lecture

In his inspiring lecture, Roy takes the audience on a deep journey into the heart of battle, into the decisive moments on the ground, into dealing with the unknown – and into the choice not to break, but to grow from the ruins.
He shares how he set small but significant goals for himself – which became milestones in his Sisyphean rehabilitation.
He shows how the skills he developed as a warrior and commander – such as mental toughness, mental flexibility, and the ability to maintain vision even in times of lack of control – were the key to returning to a full life.
This is not another lecture on war. This is an opportunity to learn what leadership is and absolute loyalty to your subordinates, the power of courageous determination, of enduring commitment, and of the human capacity to overcome any obstacle.
Roy speaks at eye level, with complete openness, and meeting him touches every person, no matter who they are.
His message crosses roles, cultures, and backgrounds – and opens the door to a deep understanding of what true power is.
Key topics in the lecture:
Courage under fire: Civilian rescue and transportation in moments of extreme danger
The meaning of setting small milestones to achieve big goals
Cultivating mental resilience and tools for growth from crises
Receiving renewed proportions for life, and inspiration for moving forward
Perfectly tailored to your people
📍 The lecture is suitable for team days, professional conferences, inspirational lectures, educational institutions, pre-military preparatory schools and business organizations - anywhere you want to talk about courage, purpose and renewal.
